Syllables and Stress in the Russian Language (Letters A, O, K, M, T)

This is the second lesson in the series of lessons on the Russian letters and sounds. In this lesson we are going to talk about:
1) Syllables and stress in Russian.
2) The letters A, O, K, M, T that look like English and sound like English.
3) The difference between stressed and unstressed vowels in the Russian language.

Russian words consist of syllables just like English. And as in English, words in Russian have a stressed syllable and unstressed syllables. Some letters such as O are pronounced differently in a stressed and unsressed position.

In this lesson we take the easiest (for an English speaker) Russian letters: A, O, K, M, T. What makes them easy to learn is that they look like English and sound almost like English. We will use these letters to make some syllables, learn how to read them. In the end of the lesson we are going to read and learn some Russian words with these letters.
